An abundant amount of literature covering the topic of cavitation was published during the 1940's and the 1950's. During this period, the subject received a great deal of attention from both pump and hydraulic turbine manufacturers.
Consists of two magnets, a drive magnet that attaches to the motor shaft and a driven magnet that is completely sealed within the pumphead and is connected to the driving gear. The driven magnet is a wetted component and is totally encapsulated.
An important aspect of rotary gear pump performance is the dynamic sealing that takes place within the pump. This dynamic sealing allows the pumping parts to move while at the same time maintaining a distinct separation between the inlet and outlet.
